Pavel „ The Pump“ Pumprla is a lightning quick swing player, with tremendous athletic and leaping abilities. Pavel can use his abilities to efficiently drive to the basket, and often finish with a dunk. Extremely quick first step enables him to gain headstart to his defender and solve the game-situation. He has very good game overview and feel for the game (shot deflection estimate, pass and cut timing, rebounding, etc.).
Pavel is very good defender, thanks to his quickness and athletic dispositions. Tremendously hard-working player, who often takes extra practices and shoot-arounds voluntarily, and is intensively working on developing his talent. He is a non-problematic character, intelligent, and motivated player. He is the 2011-12 Eurocup’s leading scorer. Pumprla (12.7 ppg., 42.1% 3FG, 5.9 rpg., 2.2 apg., 1.8 spg., 15.7 index) led CEZ Nymburk in index, rebounds and steals as his year-long solid performance took the Czech champs back to the Eurocup Quarterfinals. He was third in steals, seventh in total rebounds and eight in index in the entire competition.
