Ivana Jalcova is a 1,82m point guard, starter in the slovakian national team and with lots of international experience both in European Championships and in Euroleague where she averaged 13,3 points per game in the 2007-08 season.
Ivana was also a young star in youth national teams, averaging 12,8 points 2,8 rebounds and 2,6 steals per game in the U16 European Championship played in 1999 where Slovakia finishied in the fifth position.
In 2002, Ivana Jalcova played the U20 European Championship, averaging 12,4 points and 6,6 rebounds per game and shining against Croatia with 20 points and 14 rebounds in a championship in which Slovakia finished in ninth position.
Still being twenty, during the 2002-03 season , Ivana Jalcova played FIBA Cup, averaging 13,7 points and 3,6 rebounds per game, having her best game against Dynamo (who had Janell Burse and Michelle Van Gorp) with 27 points and 5 rebounds.
Ivana Jalcova had her debut with the senior slovakian national team in 2003, averaging 11,3 points 2,7 rebounds and 2,7 assists per game, scoring 19 points, grabbint 7 rebounds and dishing 8 assists in the 100-64 win against Jekabsone and Tamane´s Latvia.
Ivana played again FIBA Cup in the 2003-04 season , averaging 13,7 points and 3,8 steals. In the 2004-05 season,
Ivana Jalcova played Euroleague for the first time, averaging 12,5 points 3,1 rebounds and 3 assists per game. She also played the European Championship in the summer, averaging 8,2 points and 2,3 steals per game.
Ivana stayed in Kosice during the 2005-06 season, averaging 7,2 points per game in Euroleague and 10 points in Extraliga. Also she averaged 13 points per game in FIBA Cup and 13,6 points and 5,9 assists per game in the 2006-07 season, being in both seasons League and Cup Champion.
Ivana Jalcova had her best season in Euroleague during the 2007-08 season, in which she averaged 13,3 points per game. Ivana extended her great season playing with the national team and averaging 11 points per game in the European Championship.
An injury in the 2008-09 season didn´t help to her progresssion but in the 2009-10 season she again averaged 9,1 points and 4,9 assists per game in Extraliga, being both seasons League and Cup Champion.
Ivana Jalcova returned to the national team in the 2009 summer, averaging 7,5 points per game in the European Championship.
Ivana Jalcova stayed in Kosice during the 2010-11 season, averaging 5,6 points per game in Euroleague and reaching eigh finals where Kosice lost in the third game against Bourges.
