Versatile American Catherine Scanlon has just signed a professional contract with Palacio de Congresos of Ibiza, which will mean her debut in Spanish 1st division after a successful year in 2nd division with ADBA Avilés in the 2010-11 season.
Catherine Scanlon averaged 14,9 points 7 rebounds and 15 in efficiency in regular season with Aviles, being a key piece in the return of the Asturian club to playoffs, where Cat had a brilliant performance with 14,7 points 8 rebounds and 16,7 in efficiency per game.
Miguel Ángel Ortega, who was in the Playoffs, has been the driving force of Cat´s signing forcé, after thinking that she could perfectly fit in his project because of her versatily and quality, being her initial idea to use her as a small forward rather than as power forward.
After this signing, Catherine Scanlon is one of the three Ibiza´s players under contract, together with Stina Barnert and Silvia Morales, waiting to confirm the rest of players in the next weeks.
