Annamaria Prezelj career began in Slovenia with ZKK Domzale and she was already successful at 16 years old, averaging 13.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in the 2013/14 season while also averaging 11.6 points and 4 rebounds per game in the U16B European Championship 2013 and 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in the U18 European Championship 2014.
In the 2014/15, Annamaria Prezelj signed with Celje and she averaged 9.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in Slovenian League and 6.4 points per game in Adriatic League, numbers that she boosted in the 2015/16 season until 12.2 points per game in Slovenian League and 13.9 points per game in the Adriatic League.
With Slovenian National Team, Annamaria averaged 18.8 points, 4 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game in the U18 European Championship 2015, being the 3rd best scorer and the 2nd best in steals in the whole championship, and won the Gold Medal in the U20B European Chapmionship in 2016, averaging 18.4 points and 4.8 assists per game (best scorer, second best passer and MVP).
Finally, in the 2016/17 season, Annamaria Prezelj averaged 14.4 points and 3.6 assists per game in Slovenian League and was Adriatic League Champion and best scorer with 21 points per game while becoming 3 times Slovenian League and 3 times Slovenian Cup Champion during the 3 year stay in Celje.
In the 2017 summer, Annamaria Prezelj won the Silver Medal in the U20 European Championship and she averaged 16.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, being named in the Tournament First Team.
In the 2017/18 season, Annamaria signed in Poland with Gorzow and she averaged 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in Polish League and 7.7 points in 24 minutes per game in the Eurocup.
In the 2018/19 season, Annamaria averaged 7.6 points in 14 minutes per game in Polish League (reaching the final) and 6.4 points in 18 minutes per game in the Eurocup.
