Australian power forward DARCEE GARBIN has become today Australian WNBL Champion after defeating Melbourne in the crucial third game of the Finals (70-57).

After a big summer, in which Darcee was World Univerity Champion and MVP, she collects now her second WNBL Championship in three years.

Also, Darcee Garbin has had her best season so far in the WNBL and has been a key player in Townsville Fire´s success, averaging 9.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17 minutes per game and shining against Bendigo (30 points and +41 efficiency in 23 minutes), Canberra (23 points and +30 efficiency in 18 minutes), Sydney (20 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes) and Melbourne (18 points, 9 rebounds and +27 efficiency) with excellent 57% from the field and 41% from the 3 point line.




Darcee Garbin is a 1.88m australian power forward born in 1994 who has experience in the Australian WNBL and with Australian National Team with whom she won the Gold Medal in the 2017 World University Games, being the MVP and having 30 points and 10 rebounds in the final.

Darcee has a good basketball IQ and she is a versatile player, being able to both play the low post or penetrate, while also having a good mid and long distance shooting.

Darcee Garbin averaged 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in the WNBL 2012/13 with Perth, prior to win the Bronze Medal in the U19 World Championship played in 2013 in which she averaged 6.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Darcee re-signed in Perth for the 2013/14 season and she averaged 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 18 minutes per game. Again, Darcee signed with Perth for the 2014/15 season and she averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19 minutes per game. In the 2015 summer, Darcee played the World University Games and she averaged 4.8 points and 5 rebounds per game.

In the 2015/16 season, Darcee Garbin signed with Townsville Fire and she averaged 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game that helped Townsville to win the WNBL that season. In the 2016 summer, Darcee played with the Rockingham City Flames and she averaged 16.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

Darcee Garbin extended her contract in Townsville during the 2016/17 and she averaged 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18 minutes per game. In the 2017 summer, Darcee played with the Towsville Flames and averaged 23.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game and also won the Gold Medal and was the MVP in the 2017 World Universtiy Games, averaging 16.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game and having 30 points and 10 rebounds in the final.

In the 2017/18 season, Darcee Garbin signed back with Townsville and she averaged 9.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17 minutes per game, becoming WNBL Champion and shining against Bendigo (30 points and +41 efficiency in 23 minutes), Canberra (23 points and +30 efficiency in 18 minutes), Sydney (20 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes) and Melbourne (18 points, 9 rebounds and +27 efficiency).
