Background/Bio

Ivana Katanic´s first part of her career is linked to Red Star Belgrade, club in which she signed at the end of 2014.

With Red Star, Ivana improved year by year until averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and +13.7 efficiency in 24 minutes per game in Serbian League and 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 25 minutes per game in Adriatic League during the 2018/19 season.

In addition, Ivana won with Red Star the Serbian Cups 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2018/19, was Serbian League Champion in 2016/17 and 2017/18 and reached Adriatic League Semifinals in 2017/18 and 2018/19.

With youth national teams, Ivana Katanic played with Serbia all the European Championships and she shone for the first time in the U18 European Championship played in 2016 with 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.

In the 2017 summer, Ivana Katanic won the Silver Medal in the U18 European Championship and she averaged 9.1 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists per game, being the Tournament´s best passer and the best point guard.

One year later, in the 2018 summer, Ivana Katanic won the Silver Medal in the U20 European Championship and she averaged 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game and was named again the best point guard in the tournament.

Again, in the 2019 summer, Ivana Katanic played the U20 European Championship and she averaged 8.3 points, 5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game, being the 4th best passer of the Tournament.

In the 2019/20 season, Ivana Katanic stayed in Crvena Zvezda and she averaged 15.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists in Adriatic League and 10.9 points, 6 rebounds, 8.2 assists and +18.5 efficiency per game in Serbian League.

Ivana Katanic extended her contract with Crvena Zvezda in the 2020/21 season and she averaged 17 points, 6 rebounds, 8.3 assists and +23.7 efficiency per game, becoming Serbian League Champion and Finals MVP.

In the 2021/22 season, Ivana Katanic signed in Belgium with Kangoeroes Mechelen and was both Belgian League ahd Cup Champion, averaging 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in Belgian League and 13.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5 assists per game in the Eurocup.
