Ama Degbeon´s career started at Grunberg High School and she averaged 7.1 points and 8 rebounds per game in the 2011/12 season, 12.4 points and 11.2 rebounds per game in the 2012/13 season and 13.7 points and 10 rebounds per game in the 2013/14 season.

During this period, Ama Degbeon won the Gold Medal with the German National Team in the U16B European Championship played in 2011 and she averaged 7.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

In the 2013 summer, Ama Degbeon averaged 12.9 points and 9.9 rebounds per game in the U18 European Championship.

In the second part of the 2013/14 season, Ama Degbeon joined Marburg and she averaged 5.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

In the 2019/20 season, Ama Degbeon signed in Poland with Lublin and she averaged 6.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and +10.2 efficiency in 22 minutes per game.

In February 2020, Ama Degbeon signed with Umea and she averaged 11 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3 assists and +19.7 efficiency in 20 minutes per game in Swedish League (21.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and +38.8 efficiency per 40 minutes).

Ama Degbeon extended with Umea in the 2020/21 season and she averaged 15.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and +23.4 efficiency per game in Swedish League, being the competition´s best rebounder.

In the 2022/23 season, Ama Degbeon signed in Hungary with BKG Budapest and averaged 11.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and +17.4 efficiency per game.
