Lotta-Maj Lahtinen is a 1.76m international Finnish combo guard born in 1999 who is a leader in her country´s national team and who has had an amazing college career in the United States playing for Georgia Tech.
After playing in Finland for Catz in the 2014/15 season, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen joined HBA and she averaged 15.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in Finnish top division during the 2017/18 season.
Later on, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen moved to the United States and continued developing her game playing for Georgia Tech.
With the yellow jackets, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen averaged 15 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the 2020/21 season (playing mainly at shooting guard) and 10.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in the 2021/22 season (playing primarily as a point guard and obtaining a remarkable win against UCONN).
Playing for Georgia Tech, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen was named in the ACC Conference First team in the 2020/21 season, receiving a honorific mention in the 2021/22 season and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 in the 2020/21 season apart from receiving also multiple Academic Awards.
Lotta-Maj Lahtinen became over the years a crucial player for Finnish Senior National Team and she averaged 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game in the Qualifiers for the European Championship 2021.
Previously, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen had lots of experience with youth Finnish national teams and she averaged 10.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game in the 2015 U16B European Championship, 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in the 2016 U18B European Championship, 15 points 5.3. rebounds, 4 assists and 2.7 steals in the 2017 U18B European Championship, and 14 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists in the 2019 U20B Europeah Championship, obtaining the Silver Medal.
In addition, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen was named Basketball Without Borders MVP in the even that took place in 2017 in New Orleans.
In the 2023 summer, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen won the Bronze Medal in the World University Games and she averaged 8.8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
In the 2023/24 season, Lotta-Maj Lahtinen signed in Spain with Sedis Cadí and she averaged 5.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 22 minutes per game in Spanish League and 5.7 points in 20 minutes per game in the Eurocup.
Lotta-Maj Lahtinen started the 2023/24 season in Castors Braine and she averaged 8.3 points per game in the Eurocup and 6.8 points, 4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in Belgian League.
