Naignouma ("Mima") Coulibaly played for different French teams like Toulouse, Pleyber Christ and Basket Landes from the 2006/07 season until the 2010/11 season.
During those years, Mima Coulibaly played with Malian National Team and she averaged 9.4 points and 12.1 rebounds per game in the U21 World Championship in 2007, 3.6 points and 5 rebounds per game in the 2008 Olympic Games, 9.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in the 2009 African Championship (Silver Medal and named in the First Team) and 8.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game in the World Championship played in Czech in 2010.
After averaging 12.8 points and 12.8 rebounds per game with Pleyber Christ during the 2010/11 season, Mima Coulibaly signed with Mondeville and averaged 7.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in French League and 8.7 points and 10.2 rebounds in 25 minutes per game in the Eurocup.
Mima Coulibaly re-signed with Mondeville in the 2012/13 season and she averaged 10.2 points and 9.4 rebounds in 22 minutes per game in French League and 8.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and +11.3 efficiency in 21 minutes per game in Euroleague, shining against CCC Polkowice (21 points +21 efficiency in 25 minutes) and Galatasaray (9 points 8 rebounds +27 efficiency).
In the 2013 summer, Mima Coulibaly played the African Championship and she averaged 8.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, being also the Best Rebounder in the Tournament.
In the 2013/14 season, Mima Coulibaly signed with Arras and was the Best Rebounder and the Second Best in Efficiency in French League after averaging 12.1 points, 13.2 rebounds and +17.2 efficiency per game. Mima excelled against Mondeville (28 points 17 rebounds +45 efficiency), Angers (20 points 16 rebounds +27 efficiency) and Toulouse (17 points 25 rebounds +29 efficiency).
Mima Coulibaly signed in Hungary with DVTK Miskolc during the 2014/15 season and she avearaged 12.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and +25.8 efficiency per game in the Eurocup and 12.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and +19.9 efficiency in 26 minutes per game in Hungarian League. With Miskolc, Mima Coulibaly reached the Hungarian League and Cup Finals and was the Second Best Rebounder in the Eurocup.
In the 2015 summer, Mima won the Gold Medal in the African Games in Brazzaville. Soon after, Mima played the African Championship with Mali and she averaged 9.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
In the 2015/16 season, Mima Coulibaly signed in Spain with Uni Girona and she averaged 9.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and +13.8 efficiency in 22 minutes per game in Liga Femenina and 8.5 points and 7.2 rebounds in 20 minutes per game in Euroleague.
With Girona, Mima reached the Liga Femenina Final and was the MVP of the Final. Mima had good league games against Mann Filter (20 points 10 rebounds +21 efficiency), Campus Promete (19 points 12 rebounds +32 efficiency) and CREF (19 points 10 rebounds +24 efficiency). In Euroleague, her best games were against UMMC Ekaterinburg (18 points 12 rebounds +22 efficiency) and Orenburg (16 points 13 rebounds).
Mima Coulibaly signed in Turkey with Canik during the first part of the 2016/17 season and she averaged 10.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in Turkish League and 8.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in 19 minutes per game in the Eurocup.
In January 2017, Mima Coulibaly returned to Girona and she reached the League and the Cup Finals, averaging 8.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and +14.9 efficiency in 22 minutes per game with 65.5% from the field.
In the 2017 summer, Mima Coulibaly won the Bronze Medal in the African Championship and she averaged 9.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, being one more time the Best Rebounder in the Championship.
Mima Coulibaly signed in France, with Nice, during the 2017/18 season and she averaged 7.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and +10.2 efficiency in 18 minutes per game.
In the 2019/20 season, Mima Coulibaly returned to Spain and signed with Uni Girona, averaging 10.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and +13.2 efficiency in 24 minutes per game in the Euroleague (17.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and +21.2 efficiency per 40 minutes) and 7.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and +11.5 efficiency in 21 minutes per game in Spanish League.
Mima also won the Spanish Supercup and she had 16 points, 8 rebounds and +25 efficiency in the final.
Naignouma ("Mima") Coulibaly is a 1.91m. Malian center with French passport (Bosman A) born in 1989 who has experience at the highest level in the Euroleague, Eurocup, France, Turkey, Spain and Hungary.
With Malian National Team, Mima won the Gold Medal in the African Championship 2015, the Silver Medal in the African Championship 2009, the Bronze Medals in the African Championships 2011 and 2017 and she also played the Olympic Games in 2008 and the World Championship in 2010.
Mima is a very athletic player and a defensive force who is easily recognized by the intensity in her game. She has been one of the best rebounders in the different competitions where she has played and has usually been above 60% in field goal percentage.
