Italee Lucas played for Centennial High School and she won the State championship in 2006, scoring 42 points in the Final after averaging 22.8 points 5.2 rebounds 8.6 assists and 4.6 steals per game during the season. Italee won again the State championship in 2007 and she averaged 24.6 points 9 rebounds 3.4 assists and 3.5 steals per game, being named First Team All-American.
With the United States National Team, Italee Lucas played the U18 American Championship in 2006 and she won the Gold Medal averaging 10.8 points and 3 assists in 20 minutes per game. Italee also played the U19 World Championship and won another Gold Medal.
Italee Lucas played for North Carolina and she averaged 13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game during the 2008/09 season, shining against Wake Forest (27 points) and Maryland (26 points in the ACC Semifinals).
In the 2009/10 season, Italee Lucas averaged 14.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game and broke the school record for most threes scored in a game in the school history (8), being named in the Second Team ACC and shining against Michigan State (29 points), Georgia Tech (28 points) and North Carolina State (33 points).
In the 2010/11 season, Italee Lucas averaged 16.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, shining against Iowa with 34 points and being named First Team ACC.
In May 2011, Italee Lucas was selected by the Tulsa Shock with the 21st pick in the WNBA Draft.
Italee Lucas had her first professional experience during the 2011/12 season, playing in Israel for Bnot Hasharon and averaging 9.5 points in 21 minutes,
Italee Lucas started the 2012/13 season with Satu Mare and she averaged 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists with 41% from the 3 points line in Romanian League and 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and +19 efficiency in 21 minutes per game in the Eurocup.
In January 2013, Italee Lucas signed in Spain with Hondarribia Irún and averaged 17.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, shining against Canarias (27 points), Perfumerías Avenida (22 points 6 rebounds), Conquero (22 points) and Sedis Cadí (21 points).
In the 2013 summer, Italee Lucas signed a WNBA training camp contract with the Tulsa Shock.
In the 2013/14 season, Italee signed with Interclube and she won the African Championship, the African Supercup and the African Champions Cup in which she was also the MVP.
Italee Lucas extended her contract with Interclube for the 2014/15 season and she won again the African Cup, averaging 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4 assists per game with 40% from the 3 point line. Italee was decisive in the Final with 29 points, 10 rebounds and +27 efficiency, being named the MVP one more time.
In 2015, Italee Lucas re-signed with Interclube and she won the Angolan League.
In January 2016, Italee Lucas signed in Spain with Uni Girona and she averaged 8.2 points in 22 minutes per game, reaching the Liga Femenina Final.
In November 2016, Italee Lucas won the African Champions Cup, scoring 26 points in the Final and being named MVP. In the tournament, Italee averaged 10.1 points and 2.4 assists in 22 minutes per game with 55% from the 3 point line.
In August 2017, Italee Lucas played the Afrobasket with the Angolan National Team and she averaged 15.4 points and 5 rebounds in 25 minutes per game with 46% in three pointers, being named in the Championship First Team.
In November 2017, Italee played again the African Champions Cup and she averaged 12.8 points, 3 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 24 minutes per game.
In December 2017, Italee Lucas signed in Spain with IDK Gipuzkoa and she averaged 6.4 points in 16 minutes per game.
Italee returned to Angola in the first part of the 2018/19 season and she averaged 11.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assits in 21 minutes per game in African Champions Cup.
In August 2019, Italee played the Afrobasket and she averaged 12.3 points, 4 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 28 minutes per game.
In December 2019, Italee Lucas played the African Champions Cup Final with Interclube and she averaged 16.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists per game and +20.3 efficiency per game.
Italee Lucas is a 1.75m american combo guard born in 1989 with an amazing high school and college career (averaged 16.2 points per game with North Carolina 2011/11) who was selected with the 21st pick of the 2011 WNBA Draft.
Italee Lucas has played professionally in Spain, Israel and in the Eurocup and since 2013 she has played in Angola for Interclube, becoming multiple times African Champion and MVP and playing also with the Angolan National Team.
Italee Lucas is a hugely talented player who has a natural instinct for scoring. She is really impressive technically and has also great court vision.
