Catherine Scanlon , born in Texas, was a high school star for Cardinal O´hara, where she was a three-time first team and led her high school to two championships.
Once her high school career was over, Catherine joined Drexel University and already in her freshman season (2002-2003) was named rookie of the year and in the freshman first team.
Catherine kept improving and already as a junior averaged more than 15 points per game and led Drexel to their best record since they joined the CAA Conference.
Also she was a CAA First Team player. In the 2005-2006 season and as a senior player, Scanlon was named player of the year in the CAA Conference after averaging 15,3 points and 7,4 rebounds per game.
Once her college career was over, Catherine Scanlon signed with Residence of Walferdange in Luxembourg 1st division and averaged 26,3 points per game, leading her team to League Semifinals.
In the same season, Catherine Scanlon played FIBA Cup and averaged 20,6 points 10,4 rebounds and 3,8 steals per game, shining with 25 points (6 three pointers) and 7 rebounds against Montpellier, 25 points and 9 rebounds against San José León or 23 points and 9 rebounds against Umana Reyer Venezia.
Catherine scored 17 three pointers in just 5 games with 34%.
Catherine Scanlon returned to Residence Walferdange in the 2008-09 season and averaged 23,6 points per game and reached the League Finals after averaging 26,3 ponts in semifinals and 23,3 points per game in the Finals.
Also Catherine won the Luxembourg Cup and played again FIBA Cup, averaing 10 points and 8,5 rebounds per game.
After the european season finished, Catherine played for South West Metro in Australian QBL and she averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Once again Australia was her destination in the 2010 summer and Catherine Scanlon was named QBL Most Valuable Player after averaging 22,5 points and 12,9 rebounds per game, shining against Bundaberg Bears with 38 points and 10 rebounds or Glod Coast Gliders with 35 points and 14 rebounds.
Catherine Scanlon signed in the 2010-11 season with ADBA Aviles, in Spanish 2nd division, averaging 14,9 points and 7 rebounds per game (49% from the field and 39% in three pointers) for 15 in efficiency per game.
ADBA Avilés had a great season in part thanks to Cat´s performance and won 20 out of 26 games, qualifying for the Playoffs to play in 1st division.
Catherine returned to Australia in the 2010-11 summer, and averaged 19,2 points and 13,8 rebounds per game.
After her good season in Spain , Catherine signed for the 2011-12 season with Ibiza PDV, reaching Spanish 1st Division.
