In the 2006-2007 and still as a junior player, Hristina Ivanova played for Levski Spartak Sofia in Bulgaria 1st division, where she averaged 18,2 points and 2,9rebounds per game with excellent 52.1% from the field and 43,4% in three pointeres. She was named as the most improved player in the competition. Once her junior age was over, Hristina Ivanova signed for Rilski Sportist Samokov, where she averaged 12,7 points and 3,4 rebounds in the 2007-2008 season and 20,4 points (3rd top scorer in the league) and 3,3 rebounds with 53,1% from the field and 40,2% in three pointeres during the 2008-2009 season, where she was named in the best five of the league.

Hristina has played usually with bulgarian youth national teams, playing in the U16 European Championship in 2005 where she averaged 10,1 points and 4,3 rebounds per game, in the U18 European Championship in 2007 where she averaged 12,2 points with 52% from the field and 42% in three pointers and finally in the European Championship U20 in 2009 where she averaged 15 points and 2,9 rebounds per game with excellent 57% from the field.

In the U20 European Championship, Hristina Ivanova specially shone against Italy with 30 points and 5 rebounds. She also got an honorific mention.

Hristina Ivanova signs with Aros Leon in the 2009-10 season, averaging 8,7 points 3,9 rebounds and 5,9 in efficiency.
