Maurita Reid is a 1,73m american point guard who after being an impact player in NCAA has had already two seasons experience in Europe, ending the 2009-10 season as the top scorer in Polish 1st division.

Maurita Reid played in NJCAA for Monroe Community College de la NJCAA until the 2005-2006 season, averaging 19,1 points 4,2 rebounds and 4,5 assists per game and winning the Championship both in 2005 and 2006. She was also named in the best five of the NCJAA.

In the 2006-2007 season, Maurita joins Miami University, in the strong ACC conference.

In her first season she already averages 14,6 points and 5,9 rebounds, numbers that she improves as a senior player with 15,3 points 5,6 rebounds and 3,7 steals.

Maurita is named in the ACC Best Five and also recieves an ACC Honorable Mention.

Even though Maurita was real close to being WNBA drafted, she wasn´t finally picked so she started her european career near the end of the 2008-09 season, playing for Umea Comets in Swedish 1st division.

In the 2008-09 season, Maurita signs with surprising armenian Hatis Yerevan with whom she played EuroCup.

Maurita Reid averaged 19,3 points 5,5 rebounds 4,8 assists and 3,2 steals per game, having breakout games such us in the double victory against Besiktas with 20 points 12 rebounds and 4 assists in the first one and 22 points 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the other or 26 points and 7 assists in the win against russian Chevakata.

After EuroCup season was over for Hatis, Maurita signed with MUKS Poznan in Polish first division. Maurita Reid is the top scorer in Polish League with 21,3 points 5,7 rebounds and 4,7 assists with excellent 52% from the field and 37% in three pointers. Maurita has had great games since her arrival, shining in the victory of MUKS Poznan against powerhouse Lotos Gdynia (with Erin Phillips, Tanisha Wright, Ivana Matovic, Roneeka Hodges, etc) with 26 points 7 rebounds and 9 assists.

Maurita Reid is a combo guard with great shooting skills and a very good defender.

Maurita Reid signs with Gospic in the 2010-11 season, averaging 13,8 points 5,4 rebounds 4,7 assists and 3 steals per game in Adriatic League and 17,1 points 5 rebounds 5,3 assists and 3,8 steals per game in Euroleague, shining against Fenerbahce with 28 points and 5 steals , UMMC Ekaterimbourg with 20 points and 5 rebounds or against Lotos Gdynia with 20 points 9 rebounds 6 assists and 6 steals.

Maurita is the best players in steals in Euroleague, second best in assists and is named in Euroleague First Team and Euroleague First Import Team.  She is also named Best Import in Adriatic League and Best Point Guard.

Also Maurita is Adriatic League Finalist with Gospic and wins the Croatian Cup.

Maurita has signed a WNBA contract to play for  Washington Mystics in the 2011 summer.
